The famous strawberry grower village of Cyprus!
As one of the fertile ‘red soil villages’ (Kokkinochoria), Deryneia is the main strawberry grower of the island, and is famous for its juicy, sweet fruit. Visitors to its Strawberry Festival – which takes place every two years – can enjoy complimentary fresh strawberries and their products, such as juice, jam, liquor and ice-cream.

Housed in an old traditional residence, Deryneia Folk Art Museum exhibits a collection of everyday agricultural tools and equipment used by traditional farming families of bygone times.

Cultural Centre of Occupied Famagusta
An emotive visit you must do! Learn about contemporary history of Cyprus and Turkish invasion.
At the site of the Cultural Center a canteen and an observatory is operated. Visitors can borrow binoculars to look at our beloved city and almost all our occupied land from a distance. In the Centre’s multipurpose hall video-films about Famagusta are shown to the multitudes of foreigners who visit the center daily.
